Who is eligible to apply?
Any Sogo user who has completed Tier 2 KYC (identity verification via BVN or NIN) and whose account is in good standing may apply. You must be able to demonstrate a genuine audience who would benefit from our services.
How long does my application take to be reviewed?
Applications are typically reviewed within 1 to 3 business days. You will receive an email notification with the outcome. If your application requires additional information, our team will reach out directly.
How are commissions calculated?
Each transaction type has its own commission method. For gift card sales, you earn a fixed Naira amount per USD of Sogo's payout to your referred user (based on the actual Naira amount they receive, converted to USD - not the card's face value). For crypto sales, you earn a percentage of the platform fee. The commission table above shows the current rates.
Do my referrals need to complete KYC to generate commissions?
Yes. Commissions are only issued when the referred user has completed at least Tier 2 KYC (identity verification via BVN or NIN). If a referred user trades before completing Tier 2 verification, no commission is generated for that trade.
One helpful note: crypto sell and RMB buy already require Tier 2 KYC to execute on the platform, so commission eligibility is automatically met for those trades. The main thing to keep in mind is gift card sell, which can be done from Tier 1 - your referee must still complete Tier 2 verification before their gift card trades generate commissions for you. Encourage your referrals to complete identity verification early so every trade counts.
When can I withdraw my commissions?
Commissions vest 7 days after the qualifying transaction completes. Once vested, they are automatically credited to your Sogo wallet and available for withdrawal to your linked bank account immediately.
Is there a limit to how much I can earn?
There is no monthly cap or lifetime earnings limit. The more your network trades, the more you earn. You continue earning on their transactions for as long as your ambassador status is active.
What happens if my application is rejected?
You may apply again after the cooldown period (14 days for a first rejection, 30 days for a second). You have up to 3 applications in total. We recommend strengthening your application before reapplying.
Does being an ambassador affect my regular trading?
Your own trading is unaffected. Note that as an ambassador, the standard referral reward programme no longer applies to your referrals; instead, the ambassador commission structure takes over, which is significantly more rewarding for active promoters.
